Niche is a woman-owned business with six years of serving our customers, and continuing to grow. We opened in 2013 in Boston’s South End to address the need for a local plant shop catering to folks living in the city. Our mission is to develop a selection of plants that excite and inspire our customers, but also meet the practical needs of urban living (hello, low light!). To complement our curated selection of tropicals, succulents, and airplants, we carry unique planters and hand-made ceramics, including our new custom lines.
There are currently two locations serving Boston and Cambridge, as well as a newly opened distribution center and studio in Norwood, MA. We have been honored to receive a number of Best of Boston and Improper Bostonian awards, but want to continue evolving and offering our customers the best possible experience. Our team is responsible for keeping our plants and customers happy, informed, and for contributing to our overall goal of helping people choose and understand the care for their plants! We are looking for individuals who care deeply about plants and connecting plants to people.
